  • Spotted (Speckled) Trout
    Description:
This was a pleasant surprise from the morning! 25" speck on cut bait. Hit the lady fish casted into the second gut.
    Bait:
    Cut lady fish head
  • Bull Shark
    Description:
Got a new PB a little while ago. 70.5" fat bull. Same pattern. Live mullet past the color change. This one put up a pretty good fight, even pulled a little drag on the 30w. Water is sandy with green water about 250 yards out. Mullet running thick along the second sandbar
    Bait:
Live mullet, 18/0 LP circle through the tail
  • Blacktip Shark
    Description:
4' tipper about 300 yards out. Water is super clean. Manageable surf. Mullet and lady fish present for bait. Winds out of the east making a left to right current. Out here with @swampma
    Bait:
    Live 12" mullet
  • Red (redfish) Drum
    Description:
Bait shops were out of most live bait so we got dead shrimp. Used plastics and finger mullet but neither got a bite. This 26" red was my first hit and catch of the day starting it out right. Surprised because it hit half a dead shrimp. Bait was sitting in 4 FOW. Morning was cloudy with light outgoing tide, no wind. Reds busting bait near the bank. Bite was really slow today but the water was nice
    Bait:
    Dead shrimp.
  • Jack Crevalle
    Description:
Back the truck up, cast net some mullet, two minutes into the first cast this big 45" Jack screams off with the mullet. Great fight on my Avet MXL. Right inside the first bar. Water is sandy and rough. Strong winds, overcast skies.
    Bait:
    Live 8" mullet
  • Bull Shark
    Description:
Good way to end the season of shark fishing. Learned a lot this summer. Went from zero sizable sharks last summer, to 10 over 4' this summer. Didn't reach my goal of catching one 6' or bigger, but there's next year for that. Time on the water is the number one way to learn. You can research all you want, but until you put in the time, you won't get the results. Tight lines Crew!
    Bait:
    Avet 30W FTW
  • Red (redfish) Drum
    Description:
Cut lady fish on a eagle claw 3/0 circle hook in the 2nd gut. Water is clean and sandy. Lots of mullet moving in the second gut. Warm and sunny beautiful day to be on the beach.
    Bait:
    Cut lady fish
  • Spotted (Speckled) Trout
    Description:
Line went slack, reeled in this nice and fat 23" troot. Now just need a bullred and shark to complete the surf slam
    Bait:
    Live 4" mullet
  • Stingray
    Description:
I had a big mullet 300+ yds off the beach on a 20/0 mustad circle hook and this big Ray took the bait. Thanks to @lureking121 and @Jimmy_Lynch for the help in catch, landing, measuring, photos, unhooking, and releasing this Kraken Ray. 53" across puts it at 166 pounds. My PB Ray.
    Bait:
    Mullet
  • Red (redfish) Drum
    Description:
Almost limited out on reds. Tons of small ones rolling through. Trout are hot by oysters on popping corks. And almost a slam but the flounder was too small. Overall great day. Bite was on and off in both tides but in slack tide there was no action. Super clear and smooth water. Not much wind but surely sunny. The key was to let the bait sit, drift, let the fish take it, and then set the hook.
    Bait:
    Shrimp
  • Stingray
    Description:
Almost forgot. Pulled up to a sand bar to fish for the evening and tossed a couple baits out and about 30 mins in I hooked and landed this 6 foot 9 inch 100+ pound stingray. Used the boat to get on top of him to get him in clamped from the bottom after his first big run. After the picture he was released and swam off strong
    Bait:
    Mullet head. 7/0 circle hook
  • Spotted (Speckled) Trout
    Description:
Relaxing in the yak when this 21" speck hit and ran like crazy almost throwing my pole in the water. Bottom fishing a 4-14' drop off. Tons of bait in the water but not a lot of top water activity from fish or birds. The birds we followed were diving over lady fish. Don't let the terns fool you when they dive, follow the seagulls! Water was 87°, clear green, outgoing, and mostly flat.
    Bait:
    Dead shrimp.
