  • Channel Catfish
    Description:
It's been over a year since FC was sold to Fishidy. I thought I would come back and see what is happening and if the app even still worked. None of my profile ever migrated over to Fishidy, so all that was a bunch of Bupkis on then part of Fishidy. so what news guys.
    Bait:
    Cut shad
  • Hybrid Bass
    Description:
Caught this 7lb Hybrid Striper off docks on the north side of the lake using a Rat-L-Trap.
    Bait:
    Rat-L-Trap
  • Hybrid Bass
    Description:
On windy days in the summer and spring in which the wind is blowing the waves into the dam, are my favorite times to fish for Hybrid and White Bass at Phantom. The wind brings the baitfish up along the banks and this attracts the big fish! Caught this 23 inch Hybrid and a few others walking the dam in the beginning of spring.
    Bait:
    Rat-L-Traps/Spoons
  • Blue Catfish
    Description:
Well, the bite has been hard at Fort Phantom with all this rain. Nothing was really generating bites. I always say, "If nothing is working. Try Everything! " So, I slapped a beetle spinner on a road runner and put it on my wife's line. First cast she catches this nice Blue. She caught 5 more like it. To bad for me that I only had one Road Runner in my box! Lol! No blues for me.
    Bait:
Red/Chartreuse Road Runner with Beetle spinner.
  • Green Sunfish
    Description:
Caught this guy off the dam at Fort phantom. The lake is flooded but fish are still biting along the dam, especially blue cats.
    Bait:
    Itty Bitty crankbait.
  • White Bass
    Description:
So I hit Fort Phantom to see what was biting. The water is still below 60 degrees, so the spawn has not started and the bite is slow. I tried many things but nothing worked great. I landed a 18" hybrid on a rattletrap, but could not get anyore hits. Then I added a beetle spinner to a road runner marabou and things picked up. Landed 2 Sandys, a 12" crappie and a 2lb Blue cat in about 30 minutes.
    Bait:
1/4oz Orange/chartreuse Road Runner Marabou customised with beetle spinner.
  • Description:
Rope lights going on the tracker! Going to look good
  • Blue Catfish
    Description:
Well, finally got to throw a line in the freshwater since we got home from the coast. Went out Fort Phantom for an evening of fishing with the family. The bite was shut down, but my son finally managed to get this blue just before we headed out. Tomorrow, dove season begins for me, so this will be my last fishing blert for awhile.

    Description:
Gives new meaning to the term, "Killing the blues". Just like the day before, I got out about an hour before dark. The Blues were biting right along the shore again in the big rocks along the dam. Just throw out a bobber with about a four foot leader and cut bait and let it drift back to the rocks. Going to have one heck of a fish fry this weekend!
