  • Channel Catfish
    Description:
Monster kitty caught while jigging around a wall for white bass. Big thanks to the random stranger who landed this 20# beast. 33 inches long.
    Bait:
1/8 oz jig with twistertail (white)
  • Quillback
    Description:
Managed to pick one of these cool little guys out of a school of feeding suckers. These things do NOT bite easily. They make trout look stupid some times. Good fight for the size though.
    Bait:
    Nightcrawler
  • Largemouth Bass
    Bait:
jig head with zoom craw chunk trailer
  • Mirror Carp
    Description:
Caught my first mirror today! Fishing below a small rock dam in the creek about 100 yards up from the river. Carp, cats, walleye, wiper, and gar are stacked up in the 8ft hole below the dam. Worms on the bottom did the trick for most of the fish, and cutbait took care of the rest.
    Bait:
    Worm
  • Largemouth Bass
  • Walleye
    Bait:
    Crankbaits
  • Brown Trout
    Description:
Chased down native fish in a small cold water stream on the 4wt today. There were Junebugs everywhere last night so I figured throwing a small fly imitating one would be a good call. It worked. This native brown rose up to hit it along a shallow run. Fun fight and a beautiful fish!
    Bait:
    Junebug fly
  • White Crappie
    Description:
Caught this 1.5 lb slab jigging off the bottom
    Bait:
    Red and green tube jig
  • Largemouth Bass
    Description:
Caught my pb today! 5.7 on the left and 5.15 on the right. Both by the same spot on close to the grass line
    Bait:
    Black and blue swim jig
  • Channel Catfish
    Description:
Caught this eager little fella a little bit downstream from the carp/drum hole. He had a beautiful black outline on his fins. I love the colors on these little cats, they're so cool.
    Bait:
    Nightcrawler
  • Common Carp
    Description:
First carp of the year! Felt good to finally have some good fish tugging on the line. Got him out of the same hole as the drum. I had to set my rod on the railing and watch the rod rip for any slight movements. This guy barely bit, and I only noticed the line started getting slack in the current. ~ 6lbs, insanely fat.
    Bait:
    Nightcrawler
  • FreshwaterDrum / Gaspergou
    Description:
@TennesseeTroutboy is right! After being chased out of a spot by a giant snapping turtle, the drum gods blessed me with this 1.5 lb drum out of a deep hole. Thought he was a carp at first. Water was stained but fishable, the hole was underneath a rail bridge and was about 5-7 ft deep throughout. Stacked with small cats and other assorted carps. Tossing the worm into the middle of the pool worked.
    Bait:
    Nightcrawler
